Making a Difference!

On Earth Day 2006, Buddha Gaia was active in Middletown, Connecticut, cleaning the Route 9 exit 14 highway ramp and a section of the railroad tracks.

The morning started out at 9 a.m. with free coffee and sweet bread donated by O’Rourke’s Diner on Main Street. Our clean up crew of eleven dedicated Buddha Gaia volunteers compassionately and energetically work for 1.5 hours, and accomplished all of our Earth Day goals.  Buddha Gaia’s coordinator, Jerry Sawyer commented, “Look at what eleven people can do in just an hour and half to help the Earth.”  Below are photos taken to illustrate our spirituality in action with before and after pictures.
