On August 1st, Buddha Gaia offered a walking tour of the Urban Oaks Organic farm in New Britain, Connecticut to promote greater understanding of the health and environmental benefits of organic farming, and to increase awareness of the need to buy from local  organic farmers. All of the attendees got a lot of of this experience.

 

The Buddha Gaia coordinator, Jerry Sawyer commented, "the visit to the farm was wonderful.  To find a two-acre oasis in the heart of urban New Britain is amazing, and for it to be both organic and incredibly productive is wonderful."
